Intervention Advocacy and Law Reform
Our firm is committed to a vision of a world that is more equitable, free of racism and oppression, and where gender-based violence no longer exists. We recognize that law and litigation alone cannot make that happen, and that legal institutions have in the past even acted as sites of further harm and oppression for marginalized groups.
We are pleased to support individuals and Canadian public interest groups in law reform advocacy that can help bring us closer to this vision. We have experience in intervention advocacy at appellate courts, and are pleased to assist on law reform projects through research assistance.
Drafting, Co-Counselling and Legal Consulting Services
If you are a Canadian public interest lawyer or community legal clinic in need of co-counsel, materials drafting, or senior counsel in a complex human rights or systemic case, we are pleased to offer our assistance. We bring extensive litigation experience, and have worked as lead and co-counsel on precedent-setting systemic discrimination matters.
Our Founding Lawyer comes from the Ontario legal clinic system. She holds immense respect for the work of legal clinic lawyers and is always available to assist them with their law reform and public interest advocacy.
